Hi, my name is Helen and I am committed to helping you build a deeper connection with yourself, whether its exploring and growing your self worth or rebuilding a relationship.
Life can become overwhelming at times due to a number of factors; life stages (becoming a parent, retirement, loss), significant changes to our lifestyle (relationships, health, jobs). Our upbringing will have an impact on how we process things and how we react in situations. Life is never easy and we don't know what challenges lie ahead of us. But, with the right tools and acceptance of what has made us who we are, we can face it and get through it.
Many people hit midlife and think or feel that they have lost themselves. Often, it s they have outgrown who they were, who they needed to be. This transition can feel confusing, lonely, exhausting. I support women who are going through the menopause and also men who feel they have lost their identity. Counselling can be the place to reconnect with yourself
Relationships can have a huge impact on our mental health and are rarely easy, they change over time, and we don't always adapt to that. Many factors can influence our relationships with others as well as our relationship with ourself. Age, children, loss, medical issues, social expectations and family input are just a few of the things that can impact relationships, so no wonder sometimes we might feel a bit lost, are left feeling "is this it?". Counselling can be the place to help you get back on track, to reconnect and communicate your needs better.
We all need time to decompress, focus on ourselves, slow down and reflect on what is happening. But life is busy, so we need to give ourselves the time and space to do this. Counselling can provide you with that space in a non-judgemental environment. I will provide you with a space to explore and process your thoughts and feelings. To help support you become the person you want to be, together we will find a way that works best for you. It won’t be a quick fix, but a journey of understanding, acceptance and growth.
